In this role, you will collects environmental monitoring samples including high quality water systems, cleanroom environments and gases in the field (manufacturing, utilities and laboratory locations).
This work protects public health by providing the Health Division's Epidemiology staff, local health departments, other medical personnel, and emergency
preparedness/response staff with information so they can respond with proper treatment of patients and any necessary control measures to prevent further spread of disease.
The QCM I will be responsible for submitting sample to contract labs as necessary with appropriate documentation. The QCM I will follow Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) documentation guidelines to record all procedures in a timely fashion. The analyst will be responsible for reporting the results of analyses on finished product Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
In this role, the selected candidate will oversee the testing of raw material, in-process and release testing using a variety of microbiological techniques (microbiological plating, water sampling and testing, Environmental Monitoring, Gram Staining, media preparation, etc).
The Microbiologist II is responsible for performing Environmental Monitoring microbiological and testing of products and raw materials, reading environmental monitoring plates, microbial identification work and other applicable duties.
This position carries out routine microbiological testing to support the manufacturing facility and process. All work is carried out in a QC GMP environment where the highest level of compliance and attention to detail is necessary.
This position will partner with both Internal and external customers, to ensure that all regulatory requirements are being met; it is a fast-paced position that will participate in a wide array of quality testing that will highlight ability to problem solve, develop technical reports and present information.
