The Senior Planning Manager, Merchandising Strategy is responsible for optimizing merchandising strategy across the LivingSocial business. This senior manager will lead maximization efforts across multiple areas of focus including but not limited to: merchandising mix and focus, promotion planning, scheduling, market and partner targeting and prioritization, promotion optimization, consumer marketing creative and messaging, and market strategy.
This role creates guidance, drives harmonization and optimization across apparel, category, and concept/channel of distribution to ensure a holistic, premium, differentiated, and integrated marketplace.
Develop effective cross-functional relationships within the organization in order to effectively accomplish the responsibilities of the function. Relationships include but are not limited to the following teams: Marketing, Marketing Services, Sales, Advertising, Customer Care, Operations, Information Technology and Finance.
Serve as the product owner for the team that is building the next generation of personalization algorithms that power the recommended content across core experiences such as the homepage, category pages, and marketing channels like push notifications and email.
Identify emerging fashion trends in the market through monitoring fashion weeks, runway shows, blogs, aspirational brands and media platforms. Interpret emerging ideas in the market to our customers taste.
Partner with pricing team to create Pricing strategy for direct eCommerce business across multiple brands ensuring that the business goals are met and there is no channel conflict with indirect channel.
Work closely with business leader (GM) and Go To Market team to understand business goals and key priorities; Merchandising strategy should reflect these priorities (key partnerships, new products/services).
