In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company products, containing complex mechanical systems, electronics and software, meet quality, delivery and cost targets.
Provide systemic interventions to improve the overall reliability of all equipment, not just a gradual improvement one piece of equipment at a time. Utilize root cause failure analysis (RCFA) to improve overall reliability.
NVQ level 3 qualified engineers (or equivalent) in an electrical/mechanical discipline or Apprentice trained engineers that have a base knowledge of machine building and set up are invited to apply. Previous experience of high volume or a highly automated manufacturing environment is ideal.
Candidate should be capable of leading small teams and will work closely with integrated product team leads/program managers ensuring engineering requirements are defined, risks are managed and schedules/budgets are met.
As Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive maintenance service throughout the factory working on a variety of machine applications within high volume manufacturing processes.
Strong team member, able to work well with a global team, train new team members as needed and other duties as assigned; identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost.
Independently develops and/or supervises the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.
You will be interfacing with the our cable factory, fiber suppliers, material suppliers, and other cable factories and will need to travel to oversee cable qualification testing, production line qualification, and on-going product enhancement.
Manages packaging development and improvement projects to meet client, company, and regulatory needs. Creates project plans and organizes resources to ensure project milestones are met within expectations of timeline, quality and budget.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance of all onsite plant, predominantly a variety of sortation equipment, conveyors and materials handling equipment.
