You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the facility laboratories with staff performing waived and non-waived laboratory testing and in partnership with the Laboratory Director, for ensuring the delivery of high quality, effective information to all providers and Health Plan staff in the Mid-Atlantic States Region.
This position provides supervision in our Core Lab at Hospital - primarily working with our Hematology department. The expectations of the position would include: Scheduling, staffing, problem resolution, and work flow management for up to 32 staff members.

As a Blood Bank Supervisor, you will oversee all designated department laboratory with responsibilities to include, but not limited to Quality Control, Quality Assurance, proficiency testing and training of personnel. You will interact extensively with Physicians, other Technologists, Nursing and office staff.
As a Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising moderate and high complexity testing, analyzing, reviewing, and reporting test results and quality control results, as well as taking supervisory and remedial action when indicated.
In this role, the selected candidate will ensure specialty laboratories maintain compliance with all proficiency-testing requirements and procedures are consistent with current lab practices and guidelines; ensure laboratory maintains compliance with all federal, state, and inspecting agency regulations as well as Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures.
