Oversee and manage the process of reviewing drawings, specifications and all other construction documents. Make senior management aware of design-related problems, completeness of documents and other potential risks.
Responsible for maintaining large working files as supporting documentation for estimating figures including current, accurate information on process for vendors through exclusive contact, marketing material, pre-existing price list etc.
Coordinate and develop effective relationships with internal and external customers; identify customer expectations and assist the customer in profitable growth utilizing the Larson Company's resources offering practical solutions for the customer's technical sales opportunities.
Manages and is responsible for all estimating functions that may be required during pre construction. Directs, coordinates and participates in the preparation of all estimates that are provided by the Estimating Department.
The Estimator will support and work with management, operations and estimating staff in the review of project plans, requirements and specifications. The Estimator shall have extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, costs and engineering principles.
This is an integral role, as the Chief Estimator holds the main responsibility within the estimating team for the creation of budgets and estimates, and is also able to independently produce conceptual estimates.
