Work closely with and coordinate with Owners, Project Managers, Spoolers, Foreman, Architects, Engineers, Design Consultants, Field Personnel, Estimators, and Vendors to insure work is completed accurately and on time.
This position will be responsible for estimating duties as well as assisting with sales functions. Duties include, but are not limited to, tracking projects that are bidding, analyzing bid documents, preparing accurate cost estimates, writing proposal notes and qualifications that are job specific, submitting cost estimates to sales for bidding in a timely manner.
The Concrete Estimator will be responsible for overall evaluation of a project and preparing estimate for scope of work. Establish and maintain respectful and cooperative working relationships with co-workers, field personnel, sub-contractors, architects, engineers, owners, general contractors and other business associates to help grow the Harding Group brand.
Liaise and meet with sub-contractors and suppliers during the bid process to enable costs to be accurately identified. Provide information and have a full understanding of new and innovative building techniques and developments.
This position includes traveling for inspections of damaged structures and for follow-up meetings with other industry professionals, often locally and regionally, but also to other areas of North America and, occasionally, abroad.
Define all processes/resources (in-house and sub contract) required to produce the requested product along with the associated cost;process all available RFQ information and develop a viable quotation for the customer.
