The Desktop Support Specialist II provides consultation to business area management and staff at a highly technical level for all aspects of end user computing and network-based PC/workstation systems software and hardware.
The ideal desktop support specialist will have experience working in a fast paced environment and understands the importance of following through with users. You will have an opportunity to work directly with senior systems administrators, helping to solve infrastructure challenges as the organization grows. Excellent communications skills are a must!

The Desktop Support Specialist I evaluates business problems identifies and specifies the applications and/or systems requirements, evaluates vendor packages in relation to needs and implements required software and hardware.
In this role, you will provide first-level support for all systems including software and hardware for all platforms, problem determination/isolation, analyzing problem data, performing data analysis, documenting findings, escalating complex problems to the appropriate I.T. staff or service vendors and communicating final resolution to clients and users.
In this role, you will be providing phone, e-mail, and in-person support to end-users for various issues, including e-mail, printers, LAN/WAN, standard computer images and applications, COTS and GOTS applications.
In this role, the selected candidate will focus on actual desktop support and not helps desk phone support. The ideal candidate must have hands on troubleshooting experience to cover anything on the desktop.
