This position is responsible for:Following departmental policies and procedures to collect data for the verification and evaluation of credentials of providers applying for initial appointment and reappointment.
In this role, the candidate is responsible for all aspects of credentialing/recredentialing providers, to include but not limited to verification of application/documents, mailing of requests for consideration, initial applications, approval, denial, termination letters, and accurately loading provider information in the Credentialing database.
In this role, you will be constantly collect and process significant amounts of verification, criminal background and accreditation information, checking for full completeness and accuracy. This may involve verifying the legitimacy of information with universities, licensing agencies, prior employers, etc.
This position is responsible for maintaining the provider credentialing which includes review of provider applications, and ensuring Primary Source Verifications (PSV) and adhering to credentialing standards.
The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of the credentialing process including but not limited to collecting and compiling information received, sorting information and entering into system, verifying necessary information, and more.
