Review collection reports to ascertain status of collection and balance outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures. Maintain the credit policy and recommend changes in the credit policy to senior management.
The Risk Manager I is responsible for the oversight of Collection and Recovery activities of assigned Retail Portfolios. This will include ongoing assessment, challenge, and optimization identification of various collections, risk segmentation and operational strategies.
Candidate must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of political, cultural, social, historical, military, diplomatic, regional, economic, and civil unrest considerations for the area. Candidate should be conversant on a range of these topics as they apply to US foreign policy actions and objectives in the region.
Provide superior management to the operational aspects of the Collections business unit. Insure that the Collections "floor" is operating at peak efficiency and that all process, procedures and standards are adhered to.
Support both office and field based activities, including technology assessments, writing specifications, design reviews, vehicle condition assessments, troubleshooting and problem resolution, testing support, and failure investigations.
Utilize technology to the maximum degree possible including use of cloud-based auto dialers, automation of routine tasks and data gathering, and structuring of work queues in the collection system to ensure adherence to company procedures.
Responsible for planning and directing a team of Collection Analysts responsible for the accounts receivable portfolio. Guide, develop and evaluate direct reports so that they achieve SMART goals and are able to pursue career growth opportunities.
