Manage the investigation and assessment of work-related injuries, illnesses, and near-misses. Monitors Medical Incident Notifications (MIN) at the facility, works with Human Resources on workers compensation and return to work programs.
The overall objective of the Safety Engineer is to promote a strong safety culture by providing safety and health expertise and ensuring that management systems are established and effectively used to maintain compliance.
The ideal candidate would be an expert system functional safety engineer w/ hardware and software engineering skills and experience in ISO26262, or other applicable safety regulations (IEC 61508, EN 50128, IEC 62304, ISO 60601, DO-178, D0-254 etc.)
Provide EHS expertise and input to New Product Introduction process and Management of Change ( MOC ) processes. Implement EHS policies, programs and procedures and provide training in compliance with local, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration ( OSHA ) rules and regulations.
