Document preparation such as notices and petitions for housing court nonpayment and holdover proceedings, rent demands and NYCHA notices, processing of warrant requests (including processing affidavits of nonmilitary status and affidavits of default) and scheduling evictions.
The PCS Paralegal must possess strong communication skills and be able to interface successfully with Firm clients, partners, and associates as well as attorneys and professionals from other law firms, companies, financial institutions, foundations etc.
Core job responsibilities center around title work, loan closings, post-closing work, assignments of mortgage, purchase and sale transactions, lease review and digests, transfer taxes, auditors letters and state forms of acknowledgment.
Under general supervision of assigned attorneys and the Intellectual Property Practice Manager, and following prescribed department, office, and firm procedures, Paralegals are assigned to work primarily on specific cases/transactions, provide general assistance to a project team of attorneys (sometimes in multiple offices), and/or to support attorneys whose practice involves specific areas of law including Intellectual Property litigation and Complex Commercial litigation.
The candidate should possess excellent word processing, solid writing skills and the ability to work well with others; experience with corporate and transactional matters is preferred, including corporate filings, but willing to provide training to the right candidtate.
In this role, the selected candidate will identify and coordinate training needs of internal business units, including developing and executing training session decks and strategic initiatives specific to each business unit.
In this role, the selected candidate must have an experience assisting in preparing regulatory filings, including proxy statements, as well as preparing and drafting regulatory documents using a content management system.
The paralegal will work closely with clients and senior attorneys on litigation of product liability cases. Responsibilities will include working under the supervision of attorneys to investigate personal injury cases.
