In this position, you will develop a clear consistent user experience, workflows and interface designs for new and existing products and features in the form of mockups and prototypes that will guide the team as they develop new features.
Primary responsibility is to design solutions that meet specific requirements (through a prototype and specification document), present these designs to key stakeholders, continually updating work as the project or enhancement iterates through the Software Development Life Cycle. Additionally, they work with Product Managers and Software Analysts as needed to elicit, identify, and define requirements.
In this role, you will Participate on cross-functional project teams to both gather and communicate requirements and contribute interaction design expertise to projects for all FactSet products, including desktop, mobile, and web.
The User Experience Designer will be skilled in the design of online applications (think Evernote.com or Squareup.com) and have experience in the creation of functional, engaging and appropriate interfaces.
In this role, the selected candidate will create and revise information architecture documents such as site maps, wireframes, content matrices, flow diagrams/process maps, and user interface specification.
The UX / UI Designer will also work on a myriad of internal applications that support our organization; conducting best practices audits; and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, product managers, engineers, and other members.
The Junior Interaction Designer will work to improve the overall user experience by integrating new features into existing applications, contribute to the definition of interaction standards, and work to improve the overall user experience by translating requirements into intuitive, consistent, and compelling user experiences.
The designer will work on interactive design with a focus on responsive design principles, also collaborating with the user experience team and developers to create high impact digital experiences that support the business, brand and customer. The role requires strong information visualization skills, prototyping skills, and usability knowledge.
