In this role, the selected candidate will manage large scale accounting advisory engagements and provide accounting support to clients, including implementation assistance with new accounting requirements and financial restatements.
Manage, direct, and monitor multiple client services teams on client engagements; plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects in a wide variety of industries; provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; and manage to budget.
The position ensures that the directors, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that professional behavior in the organization meets the companys Standards of Conduct.
Lead technical accounting research and apply judgement in the evaluation of arrangements in all areas of the business. Work cross functionally to ensure appropriate treatment of business transactions, including but not limited to business combinations, revenue arrangements, internally developed software, video products and restructuring.
The Director of Accounting will be responsible for all aspects of accounting and finance including establishing internal controls, policies & procedures, upgrading the staff and controlling the month end close process as well as the preparation and reporting of financial statements.
This role requires extensive experience in the area of technical US GAAP consultations, research and compliance therefore excellent US GAAP, SEC and other technical research, writing, documentation, communication and presentation skills are a prerequisite. Also critically important is the ability to forge strategic and productive relationships, partnering with Bunges Controllers and CFOs around the globe.
