Manage large/complex projects from concept to development and implementation by ensuring major project activities, milestones and deliverables are planned and tracked and progress is accurately reported using standard project instrumentation.
The job will require all stages of managing the project, including but not limited to: determining Union requirements, reviewing job specifications, visiting job sites attending pre-construction meetings, reviewing contracts, preparing the project, maintaining the schedule and submittals, communicating with contractors, ordering materials, managing change orders, quality control, and overseeing the close-out process.
The qualified candidate should possess a high energy level and be a self-motivated project manager who can work within a strong team environment, serving clients on major projects throughout the United States and internationally.
Responsible for completing the project as per its contracted scope; monitor progress and performance against the project plan. Manage all aspects of an engineering transportation project to ensure that it is safely completed on time and within scope and budget.
Develops systems and sets performance targets and measures that appropriately assess the performance of the project and maintenance group and reviews progress to ensure achievement of targets; develops strategies for increasing site efficiency.
The successful candidate for this position will work in a team environment developing engineering studies, conceptual designs, construction plans and specifications, as well as providing support during construction.
