The individual serves as a primary knowledgeable point of contact for the DoD and the NNSA Nuclear Weapons Complex with respect to issues relating to a specified weapon system, Technical Publications, Test and Handling gear and Spares.
The Satellite Systems Engineer will perform duties required to maintain and improve mission operations within the work center. Participates in a production and validation process for information technology systems and products which requires formal documentation (standard operating procedures).

Communicate assessment findings in technical reports and appropriately present to various levels of engineering authority, ranging from staff to executive management, contributing to risk-informed decision-making.
In this role, the selected candidate will work with design engineers, product engineers, process engineers, and analyst staff in the Neutron Generator Enterprise in support of software, hardware, and database systems required for nuclear weapon component product realization.
Perform both formal and informal independent technical quality process and product assessments and report results to Independent Surety Assessment Senior Management and/or the requesting system or component organization.
In this role, you will evaluate / test existing and new components or systems to determine integration requirements and to ensure final solutions meet organizational requirements in accordance with system / sub - system specification documents.
