The successful candidate will work within a Product Realization Team (PRT) structure that requires interactions with mechanical, quality, reliability, nuclear safety, manufacturing, and system engineers. The successful candidate should enjoy working in a challenging and dynamic environment on high visibility programs supporting critical national interests.
Participates in the product realization process (design through delivery); including early engagement in the development phase to define, validate, and clarify requirements for mechanical parts/components destined for use in nuclear weapons.
Provide mechanical engineering expertise towards the research, development, fabrication, testing, and delivery of embedded hardware solutions for high impact and high consequence national security applications.
Management responsibilities include supervision of design and drafting staff, coordination with clients and associates, and organization of design and construction administration activities to meet established schedules and budgets.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturability assessments by ensuring product complexity analysis is completed and design engineering has simplified: Bill of Materials, process, tooling, and assembly labor.
