The successful candidate will assist System Reliability staff in maintaining the quality and availability of the real-time information and complex computer systems required for the operation of the Electric System Operation Center (ESOC), 24 hours x 365 days per year.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into a total system solution that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
This individual will be accountable for the following systems: Linux and Windows physical and virtual systems that support Data Reduction/Analysis, High Performance Parallel Compute Beowulf Cluster equipment; consisting of multiple multi-core HPC, high-performance servers.
This includes leading teams, interfacing to customers, earned value management, architecture development, performing detailed analysis, component selection, schematic creation, and supporting build/test of the designed antennas and RF Subsystems.
Direct and manage the workflow and product of engineers within the scope of assigned projects.Work on cross-functional design teams to develop new products, address design issues, and maintain existing designs.
Responsibilities will include interfacing with the customer in performing test and evaluation activities; interfacing with internal software teams to isolate and fix issues as they arise for various functional areas
Assist with preparation of reports presenting the results of the investigations. Support work includes preparation of tables, figures, and writing draft narratives summarizing field activities and findings for Project Manager Review.
The Staff Quality Engineer will function as the project team lead in all matters related to Quality Engineering. Individual will work closely with R&D, Operations Engineering, Supplier Quality Management and other cross functional project team members in the development and manufacture of innovative new products.
Ensure appropriate processes are followed for effective and timely engagement of other parts of the company in product development activities. Contribute to a culture of innovation by proactively generating novel concepts to improve current product performance or enhance current products' ability to address customer needs.
