The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, planning and implementation of a goal oriented occupational therapy treatment program that focuses on restoring function, activities of daily living, fine motor skills/coordination, cognitive functioning and preventing further disability as a result of trauma, disease, amputation, congenital defects, surgery and other debilitating illnesses.
In this role, you will provides, directs and supervises all aspects of quality patient care, including, but not limited to; screening, evaluation and treatment, treatment planning, goal setting, family education and documentation, in order to assure the best outcome possible for the patient.

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible predominantly for outpatient therapy at the Hazlet Wellness Center but will also cover inpatient acute care therapy as needed. Hand therapy and splint making experience are both required.
The occupational therapist organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs for the agency to facilitate rehabilitation. S/he directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance.
