The Associate Mechanical Engineer will be responsible within the integrated product team for the Mechanical Engineering electronics packaging and integrated electronics design and development using state of the art computer aided design and analysis software.
Develop and maintain AEGIS combat system equipment arrangement and interface drawings and other documentation for shipbuilding contract packages; review vendor Installation Control Drawings, develop Technical Data Package products, and generate as-built drawings.
Support of new product development by working with Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality, etc. as needed, Participate in concept, peer and design reviews and the manufacture of engineering prototypes.
In this role, you will participate in developing and evaluating designs for turnkey mechanical baggage-handling systems incorporating conveyors, carousels, sortation units, vision systems, barcode scanners, vacuum bag lifters, etc.
In this role, the selected candidate must havea n experience in developing applications using ArcGIS Desktop, ArcFM, ArcSDE and Oracle using DotNet C#, ArcObjects; knowledge on ArcFM solution and data model.
In this role, the selected candidate will assist in routine material specification, schematic preparation and appropriate follow-up; provides assistance in routine design, development, testing and modifications of solutions.
In this role, you will develop designs; Source parts and contractors; Coordinate and support fabrication; Contribute to writing of operation and maintenance manuals; Support field team during installation, setup, troubleshooting and operations training.
In this role, you will be planning and supporting the build and modification of electronics systems including procurement support, assembly method/work instructions generation, tooling design support, material/process development, facilities/equipment planning, and resolution of manufacturing, quality and reliability issues.
