The Systems Engineer (NE) performs tier three systems support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. In addition to in-depth technical knowledge of the Governments software and hardware, Systems Engineers need advanced analytical, troubleshooting and design skills. The ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users also is essential.
This position will be responsible for owning the IT-related software associated with at least one manufacturing process step in the Concord Optical Fiber manufacturing plant. In this capacity, he/she will work closely with engineering and operations teams in the plant to implement improvements in this process area.
You will recommend technical solutions that improve network efficiencies and performance, develop technical implementation plans for approved technical solutions to include engineering diagrams, schedules and equipment cost estimates, and will also provide direct engineering oversight of approved implementations during the installation phase to ensure government objectives are met.
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting network and systems issues in a support role. The Systems Engineer will deliver top-quality technical service to clients both remotely and at client sites.
As a Consulting Systems Engineer you will utilize your strong technical competencies and customer service orientation to provide the highest level of technical consultation to sales teams to support sales goals.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts.
