Maintains system for monitoring regulatory requirements and trends, including QA related issues within the industry; responsible for maintaining ISO quality system certification and management of all outside audits.
Work with engineers for the implementation of quality programs, including improvement, standards, inspections, testing, warranty analysis, compliance, complaints, TS 16949 activities, gage control system.
Responsible for establishing a continuous inspection, testing, analysis and problem resolution process to ensure quality standards can be met on a continuous basis in a large organization. Develop and lead the implementation of the quality assurance philosophy and strategies. Brings forward and develops quality improvement projects that results in cost and overall efficiency improvements.
Lead proactive quality improvement through the proper execution of APQP within the facility to ensure flawless launch of new product. Also, manage quality deliverables associated with product and process design changes.
Develop and improve quality and business processes with a special focus on product packing, kitting, shipping and transportation practices deployed in company manufacturing sites and Distribution Centers.
Participate in the deviation process to assure product quality is not adversely affected. Participate in design reviews; acts as an integral member of the supplier performance improvement team along with the Materials Manager.
The Quality Manager is responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS), customer satisfaction, quality certifications, quality related aspects of supplier and contract manufacturer relationships, training, quality audits, corrective and preventive action, development of a quality culture and link with senior management to drive continuous quality improvement.
Reads, understands and implements relevant contract documents and construction plans with proficiency and accuracy. Resolution of on - site dispute between QA / QC and project management with stop work authority when quality is in question with approval from Corporate Quality Manager.
Develops project plans, goals, and budgets identifies resources needed, develops schedules and methods for measuring results while maintaining optimum working relationships with all departmental units.
