The primary function of this role is to provide to develop and implement new equipment, set up new processes, and lead continuous improvement projects. This may include process flow development, equipment specifications, process documentation, operator training, project management, preventative maintenance planning, equipment trouble-shooting, tooling development, and root-cause analysis.
The Manufacturing/Process Engineer Supports, monitors, regulates and controls the battery manufacturing process for safety, quality, productivity and performance. Ownership, understanding and committed improvement of plant and department metrics is expected. It is also expected that the Engineer will perform varied and somewhat complex work where independent judgment and action is exercised.
Direct the preparation of accurate project cost estimates, and predict anticipated performance from newly engineered and designed machinery, equipment and production systems to ensure compliance with objectives.
