The Mechanical Engineer will provide trend- and risk-analysis services, accident- and combat-incident investigation services, research and testing services and material testing services in support of the Survival Analysis Team of the USAARL, which supports the Joint Trauma Analysis and Prevention of Injury in Combat (JTAPIC) program.
In this role, you will guide analyses to verify the accuracy of complex maintenance / repair data. Candidate must be able to work well within a team environment and able to communicate well with senior leadership.
In this role, you will provides technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting mechanical failures, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
The candidate will work in the fabrication dept., project mgmt. exp., process improvement, systematic talk through changes, needs strong mechanical background- hydraulics, pneumatics, how equipment works.
In this role, you will assist in the application of engineering principle knowledge to conduct routine analyses and/or tests pertaining to the development of new designs, methods, materials or processes.
In this role, the successful candidate will perform fuel inspections and specifies fuel movement determinations, perform physics testing, support operations in control rod movements, conduct surveillance testing of reactor core, lead spent fuel audits, and perform reactor engineering calculations.
