In this role, you will be under general direction underwrites assigned Lexington risks including General Liability, Excess Liability, Products Liability policies and communicates risk appetite/AIG Value proposition to brokers.
The selected candidate will review oftentimes is equally complex due to higher net worth borrowers with multiple sources and percentages of liquidity including cash, vested stock shares, unvested restricted stock, multiple retirement vehicles and equity ownership interests that must be utilized for qualifying purposes using different qualifying guideline parameters.
The Middle Market Commercial Underwriter will collaborate closely with the lending/leveraged finance group and be responsible for providing them with underwriting and credit expertise. They will be accountable for the analysis of prospective loan transactions and credit worthiness, validating credit analysis prepared by Analysts, and proving recommendations based on proposed credit and potential risks. This individual will also ensure all due diligence and background evaluation is thorough and complete before CRR submittal.
In this role, the selected candidate must have the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments; strong analytical skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Pension trust Liability, and Fidelity Insurance for Private and Not-For-Profit entities.
