The Director of Engineering is responsible for all product development activities for the RF/MW BU, and for managing senior level engineering design teams that include RF/MW discrete MCMs, GaN & Si RF/MW Power Transistors & Pallet Amplifiers and MMICs.
Evaluate and prioritize strategic investment opportunities based on business value and alignment to corporate goals and build collaborative relationships with key executives through thought leadership.
Responsible for oversight of vendor selection including: Sets up logistics system, including RFQs, bid selection materials management, invoice approval. Reviews and approves cost estimates, sets up check and balance system. Integrates construction team into planning and design review.
Continually evaluate opportunities for productivity improvements in engineering, construction, qualification, and validation.
Act in compliance with dorporate project management and engineering policies.
The Hardware Engineering organization within Cell Analysis R&D is responsible for the creation, development, design, and maintenance of all BD Biosciences (BDB) Cell Analysis instrumentation products in coordination with the analysis of market trends and developments.
Drive decisions on trade-offs and deliver high quality applications with minimal technical debt; work with your teams to help understand requirements, evaluate new capabilities and architecture, design for the customer experience first.
Lead the team to design and deliver highly available, secure, scalable and performant solutions; ensure that projects are delivered end-end on time and with high code quality providing technical and tactical guidance.
