The RDHO will work closely with the leadership team of assigned locations to implement new initiatives and develop, implement and monitor action plans to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of current services.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide leadership, knowledge, and expertise for all functions related to clinical pharmacy at the long-term care center level; provide integration with interdisciplinary team to improve patient and facility clinical outcomes associated with medication use.
This position assures that the medication orders are consistent with current medical practice, F.D.A. and drug manufacture recommendations, current literature and/or other information sources. The Pharmacist resolves variations from the above standards with members of the Medical Staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
In this role, you will disseminate drug information to members of the hospital and clinic staff and interested community groups; may participate in hospital or clinic research projects or perform pharmaceutical research.
