As a Staff Accountant, you will support all Nexus business entities by providing site support, preparation of financial statements, account reconciliation, audit preparation, and maintenance of policies and procedures.
Evaluating and consulting on errors as well as control deficiencies to assess severity and determine the need for escalation to a governance committee; consulting with process owners with regards to the development of process and controls, Reinforcing newly issued guidance or new and emerging process and control concepts by facilitating live and/or internet-based trainings, workshops, etc.
In this role, the selected candidate will prepare and book monthly for prepaid expenses, workers compensation, prepaid insurance; calculate and book monthly accruals for telephones, utilizes, credit card fees.

In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing the implementation of accounting projects and standards providing accounting consultation on complex, large or proposed transactions.
In this role, you will support a variety of accounting functions for our clients including processing transactions, completing non-complex account reconciliations and financial statements, and support our clients accounting function.
Prepare annual, semi-annual, shareholder and portfolio reports; including footnotes, highlights, expense tables, trial balancing, cost roll forward schedule, portfolio turnover schedule, derivatives table and volume disclosures. Reviews shareholder reports and reviews/checks financial/accounting data for accuracy.
