The position is responsible for rendering credit decisions on incoming applications consistent with internal and insurer policies, underwriting mortgage commitments and verifying supporting documentation.
Work with clients (brokers) through all stages of a policy, including quoting, binding, and servicing; build on-going relationships with our clients by phone and by getting out of the office for a visit.
In this role, the successful candidate will review and evaluate residential mortgage applications and documentation to determine if borrower, property and loan conditions meet investor, FNMA and/or FHLMC underwriting guidelines and render a loan decision ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance.
Main responsibilities in the role will include rendering credit decisions on incoming applications consistent with internal and insurer policies, underwriting mortgage commitments, and verifying supporting documentation.
Develop and maintains a loan underwriting portfolio consistent with the Bank's guidelines for credit quality and Investor or Insurer standards. Approves and/or denies loans within certain limits and makes credit structure and loan eligibility decisions.
In this role, the selected candidate will review credit applications on various types of loans; analyze applicants financial status, credit and property evaluation, corporate tax returns, personal tax returns, personal financial statements, credit reports, business reports and legal documents.
