The Senior Staff Manufacturing Controls Engineer role will be responsible for the strategy, implementation, standardization, and maintenance of "best practices" in the use of automation in component, assembly, testing, and inspection processes in the Global Faucet network of plants.
Develop and maintain capacity models for key assets utilizing current year sales forecasts and long range sales plans. Identify strategies to address under capacity situations prior to them limiting our ability to satisfy customer requirements in a cost effective manner.
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for helping to drive cost reduction activities through process improvements to directly impact the overall performance objectives for the company and compliance to AS9100 and NADCAP requirements and/or division.
Perform independent evaluations or validations of equipment by establishing operating conditions, devising performance tests, setting up apparatus, conducting tests, recording and analyzing results, modifying components and making changes needed to improve equipment.
Troubleshoot and provide day to day support to maintain uptime, reduce scrap & rejects, and facilitate changes; facilitate and implement an equipment, material handling, and raw material lean strategy.
Responsible for the indentification, development and effective implementation of new processes, new technologies and/or new equipment to support current and future needs. Monitors and tracks near and long term capital, facility and capacity requirements, when applicable.
Perform field engineering and technically manage small to medium capital projects.Manage Project Schedules and Budgets as well as provide weekly reports communicating project status, issues, and needs.
Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment and packaging and conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation.
