Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment and packaging and conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation.
Develop and maintain capacity models for key assets utilizing current year sales forecasts and long range sales plans. Identify strategies to address under capacity situations prior to them limiting our ability to satisfy customer requirements in a cost effective manner.
Design for Assembly/Manufacturing (DFA/M) principles, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools & methodology, assembly process planning, procurement and installation of capital equipment, and material handling/flow.
Perform independent evaluations or validations of equipment by establishing operating conditions, devising performance tests, setting up apparatus, conducting tests, recording and analyzing results, modifying components and making changes needed to improve equipment.
Troubleshoot and provide day to day support to maintain uptime, reduce scrap & rejects, and facilitate changes; facilitate and implement an equipment, material handling, and raw material lean strategy.
The Senior Staff Manufacturing Controls Engineer role will be responsible for the strategy, implementation, standardization, and maintenance of "best practices" in the use of automation in component, assembly, testing, and inspection processes in the Global Faucet network of plants.
Perform field engineering and technically manage small to medium capital projects.Manage Project Schedules and Budgets as well as provide weekly reports communicating project status, issues, and needs.
