The successful candidate will engage in various activities with cross functional teams utilizing material cost/design knowledge to drive cost/quality improvement; improve day to day procurement and engineering practices by infusing knowledge and processes into mainstream negotiation/product development activities.
In this role, the selected candidate will perform analysis and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.

The analyst will be responsible to review technical specifications and commercial requirements to create a bottoms-up cost model for all required materials, process steps, and margin. The analyst should fully understand best in class technologies for mechanical process technologies (sheet metal, machining metals, injection molded plastics, thermoformed plastics, etc.) and be able to quantify the process and cost trade-offs between them.
