Work closely with the Human Resources Department, and, where appropriate, the Third Party Administrator to review and monitor workers compensation claims costs and develop plans to minimize active claims.
In this role, you will manage ergonomic programs with a progressive approach to safety. Position will coach and mentor direct staff and create wellness programs for team members. Personality traits should include being innovative and creative, analytical, strong influencing skills and approachable.
In this role, the selected candidate must have the ability to develop and implement training initiatives, streamline the workers compensation program (transitional duty and related activities), manage ergonomic programs with a progressive approach to safety.
The Safety Manager will organize training for employees, display leadership qualities with respect to training and development, implement and monitor employee enhancement programs and report issues/concerns to upper management.
