The Data, Reporting, and Technical Analyst works closely with the functional owners, other members of the IT function, and vendor / contract resources to ensure that the business applications and related tools meet the business units requirements for data access and reporting within and beyond standard capabilities.
This position will also work with the Data Manager and Quality Assurance to remain lock-step with identification of new trends that the various ESS units will need to be aware of to perform their jobs more effectively.
Conduct Information Security design reviews (reviewing application specifications, completing the design questionnaire, etc.) on small lower risk Information Technology initiated projects (about 80-100 projects annually).
Collaboratively facilitates discussions with both business and technology partners to articulate requirements at a level that both can understand. Including ability to identify and direct focus on functionality/problem to be scoped.
The candidate will work with requestors to find the best solution for their information need. Solutions may include provision of training on in-house or purchased resources, identifying appropriate outsource options, performing searches and creating search reports, or working with project teams to analyze large data sets of patent and other external information.
This IT Security Analyst (Awareness and Training) is overall responsible for our security awareness and training program. Ultimately this person's job is to reduce risk to our organization by ensuring all employees, staff and contractors know,understand and follow our security requirements and behave in a secure manner.
