The Senior Buyer actively participates in the company-wide procurement process, which includes strategic sourcing, supplier and contract negotiation, project management, cost management, program compliance and supplier relationship management.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with accounts to ensure customer retention through regular communication and interaction. Enhance customer service through continual execution of TCF's service model, with strong communications with Manufacturers outside sales team.
Plans, organizes and manages warehouse relocation, expansion, start-up, and improvement programs. Analyzes material handling process and determines methods, procedures and equipment for increasing productivity and efficiency.
Manage information across functions working closely with PD&D Inventory Management, Planning, Business Process & Allocations and Creative & Trend to ensure the process is followed and timelines are met.
Reviews and analyzes key logistics reports and metrics, identifies issues or trends, and provides solutions and/or recommendations to internal and external customers to allow them to take appropriate action.
The successful individual will profitably sell value-added services, including packaging, warehousing/distribution, and asset-based transportation solutions throughout a large territory encompassing several Midwest states.
Purchase and expedite both materials and completed parts to support production, releasing orders to vendors using MRP reports; communicate and assess daily issues, including engineering changes, specification changes, deviations, etc., to ensure no shortages to production needs.
The Analyst will drive improvements on performance metrics, identify and implement key process improvements throughout the Supplier and Kohler Supply Chain to optimize planning, inventory flow and logistics between Kohler and Suppliers.
