In this role, you will evaluate patients speech, language, cognitive / communicative and oral - pharyngeal status meeting established standards. The selected candidate will provide effective and appropriate treatment so that functional outcomes are achieved.
Responsible for evaluating communicative disorders and swallowing disorders, and developing and administering speech therapy treatments for inpatients and outpatients of all ages, which may include neonates, pediatric, adult and geriatric populations according to competency, and teaching patient and employee educational programs. The duties of this position require the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, and others in order to maintain sound public relations.
In this role, the selected candidate will utilize professional skills and judgment in assessing and treating disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing and swallowing to prevent, identify, evaluate and minimize the effects of such disorders and conditions.
