In this role,you will be responsible for supporting the Global Tax & Legal Leaders with the strategic direction of the global curriculum for the relevant Tax & Legal service line, working with the Global & Regional Service Line Leaders and the Regional Tax & Legal Learning Leads to ensure that it is aligned to the business strategy of the Tax & Legal practice, and Global Tax & Legal Learning strategic priorities.
In this role, you will assist local country tax managers in managing the local country tax function and tax positions to ensure the Companys global tax strategy is implemented and to ensure the Company is in compliance with relevant laws, regulations and requirements.
Developing the global professional and leadership curriculum for Tax & Legal, liaising with leadership and subject matter experts to develop high quality learning solutions for Tax & Legal professionals in the service line.
In this role, you will monitor developments in applicable areas of the tax law to determine the impact on the Companys tax return positions. Engage as appropriate in advocating policy change with taxing jurisdictions to lower the tax burden for the Company.
In this role, you will lead the design and development of tools and solutions working with data scientists, big data teams, data integration teams and visualization experts to deliver analysis that fits the needs. Recognizes patterns and complexity in problems.
In this role, you will assist with the calculation, analysis, and review of the provision, compliance and operational implications of income tax planning and M&A activity including implantation and execution of planning initiatives. Also prepare US tax forms, entity classification elections, 338 elections, and other required elections.
Analyzes proposed restructuring and acquisition transactions; interprets complex statutory and regulatory actions relating to corporate and partnership transactions; performs quantitative analysis to assess the tax consequences of specific transactions.
The candidate will also play a supporting role in various tax publications. A successful candidate will be prepared to assist the current leadership in expanding revenue by working with practice offices on existing clients and external opportunities coming through our business development team and possess the following skills
Manage activities within area of expertise through individual contributors and/or managers to ensure all tax liabilities for multiple legal entities across multiple jurisdictions are met in a timely and accurate manner.
In this role, the selected candidate will assist with international aspects of US income tax compliance including oversight of FBAR process, detailed analysis and technical review of earnings and profits and tax pools, tax basis, computation of the US foreign tax credit including interest and research and development allocation and apportionment, forms statements and disclosures, documentation of processes and technical positions, and assist with IRS audits of US international income tax compliance.
In this role, the successful candidate will monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments and coordinate with the SCS tax team to ensure that enacted law changes are incorporated into the compliance.
