This position is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation, leadership and management of a manufacturing plant. This position reports to a director of operations and regularly reports on plant performance.
This position will be directly responsible for leading and managing all plant operations of this 150 person site. A key focus for this individual will be in driving safety, asset care and reliability, net cost productivity and continually developing the plant staff for future leadership roles.
Develop plans and procedures to insure the safety of all employees and visitors of the warehouse. Communicate and monitor progress towards company safety, returns and allowances, and on time shipment and delivery directives.
The maintenance manager is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.
The shift supervisor reports to this position. Position is responsible for fostering a team focused work environment to achieve plant and company goals and objectives and is also responsible for participating in activities to enhance the growth and development of all manufacturing operations personnel.
Establish, conduct or respond to health and safety assessments/analyses in plant (e.g., medical surveillance, worker exposure, defining drug/alcohol testing protocol) to minimize health and safety risks.
Establishes and maintains effective contact with state and local regulatory contacts and coordinates inspection and customer environmental tours; ensures continual improvement of productivity standards and worker safety performance in all phases of the operation.
