This position requires a candidate that possesses a strong technical aptitude and extensive database administration experience. The position is part of the Data Services team that manages both internal and customer facing databases.
The Middleware Administrator supports and documents the installation, configuration, capacity planning, upgrading, problem resolution and debugging of all middleware product environments. Collaborate on definition of infrastructure standards and contribute to the overall architecture roadmap. Collaborates on technical design and provides consulting including identification and documentation of requirements and design; including communications, security, auditability, availability and recoverability.
We provide full-scale professional services to both public and private sector transportation clients. Plans, designs and directs components of freight railroad; passenger rail and transit; states and municipalities; airports and air carriers; manufacturers and distributors; ports and maritime; trucking and automotive; energy and communication; and federal government projects.
Designs, documents, and guides the use of data and database changes for complex, enterprise-wide (internal to company) database integration. Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications. May create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance.
