The candidate must have hands-on electromechanical fixture building and testing experience, measurement test equipment experience (multi-meter, oscilloscope, data acquisition), and experience with root cause analysis in electromechanical assemblies.
Management responsibilities include supervision of design and drafting staff, coordination with clients and associates, and organization of design and construction administration activities to meet established schedules and budgets.
Assist Program Management by providing information on the technical aspects of projects including ensuring manufacturability, assuring appropriate bids on projects are submitted and providing on-going technical support throughout the duration of assigned projects.
Evaluates customer technical specifications and drawings to determine process or product applicability and reproducibility; and determines the appropriate methods for fabricating and bonding materials.
Drive a Quality focused culture by monitoring compliance to Quality System processes, such as system transaction compliance (i.e. FACTORYworks), documentation practices, non-conforming material, product holds, Line Clearance, etc.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for Test Engineering and planning, scheduling, coordinating and implementing new product performance and reliability tests on elevator systems, mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
The primary purpose of this position is to perform work which involves conventional engineering practices, but may include a variety of complex features. This position will apply sound judgment when making adaptations and/or modifications to machinery, test and measurement equipment and/or systems.
The Plant Engineer will implement solutions related to plant strategic goals, troubleshoot operational issues, drive completion of action plans, execute projects, and share best practices amongst CVAP and liaison with the CVAP corporate engineering group.
