The Systems Administrator, under direction of the Information Technology Supervisor, assists with all aspects of administration of the county network, including the mainframe, all application servers, personal computers, network storage and network infrastructure and provides technical assistance, troubleshooting and technical support to county users in the operation and use of the network, computer equipment and software.
This position will be providing support for State of Iowa agencies and departments as they seek solutions within the Google Apps for Government product set. As the State moves to Google agencies are looking for recommendations to solve problems either as a cause of the migration, or to fill future needs.
Monitor servers for stability and take both proactive and reactive measures to correct and prevent issues; provide fellow system administrators and support representatives with technical support and guidance.

The Applications Administrator will establish, coordinate and maintain solution/systems documentation and will work closely with other IT SMEs to ensure content is correct. This position will fill a role on a geographically diverse team.
