The Clinic Physician provides direct patient care in the clinic office setting. The Clinic Physician acts as a member of the treatment team, ensures the delivery of quality care, and maintains professional competence.
Serves as the physician-of-record after accepting case responsibility for a hospitalized patient from his/her primary care physician, as well as for unassigned patients from the hospital, patients referred to the hospital from communities outside the area, and patients from physicians in the community who can no longer make hospital rounds on their patients.
The RN in this position collaborates with physicians, residents, mid-level providers, RNs, LPNs, and other allied health staff members to provide care in a team approach for patients traveling form the region, across the nation, or internationally to the company Rochester.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a BC/BE in Internal Medicine with a desire to work in a traditional primary care setting, have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to work well in a team-based care delivery model, and possess a strong commitment to the creation of healthier communities.
The Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) provides health care services in the clinic setting. This may include the provision of primary and preventive healthcare services as well as care for acute illness and injury.
Position includes outpatient primary care of a diverse group of refugees and immigrants. Inpatient rounding is available, though, not required. There is also an opportunity for those interested in academic medicine to precept University of Minnesota Global Health Pathway residents who have their continuity clinic at CIH, though, not required.
