The NP PA will work with a high level of autonomy as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, fellows, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, dieticians and transplant coordinators.
The ideal candidate will have high levels of responsibility coordinating intellectual property matters and will have experience communicating with clients and attorneys, drafting and revising a variety of IP agreements, and conducting IP research.
Possess ability to work independently/autonomously and interdependently with other health care professionals; have extensive patient assessment skills using diagnostic methods and instruments and possess ability to develop appropriate plan of care, modifying as indicated.
Work with our multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, NP, PAs in managing care of adult and pediatric Cardiac Surgery and ventricular/cardiac assist device and heart and lung transplant patients in hospital (70 %) and clinic (30%) settings.
The ideal candidate will have at least one or two years of experience, can commit to full time work, and can jump in and immediately contribute. You will be able to utilize your skills in calendaring/scheduling meetings, and client contact by phone and email.
Specifically, candidates will have experience in all phases of litigation including, but not limited to, drafting legal correspondence, documents, and pleadings; discovery; document review and management of complex cases; and trial preparation. Must have year of experience in a medical clinic or hospital is preferred; strong written and oral communication skills are required, and must have demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will have litigation experience. The candidate should also have experience maintaining client and billing files, drafting legal documents, scheduling depositions, answering telephones, sorting and distributing incoming mail, managing incoming emails and contact lists for attorneys, scheduling travel arrangements and maintaining calendar appointments for attorneys.
The Physician Assistant works as a part of a surgeon/physician assistant team, providing care for the cardiothoracic surgical patient throughout the surgical care continuum (pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative follow-up).
