In this role, the selected candidate will plan, perform, and manage the design, development and transfer to manufacturing of new programs from information provided by the customer-may require development of a number of concepts to achieve a final design direction.
In this position, you will work with both electrical and architecture teams to enable balanced vehicle design with a customer focus. Use data-driven decisions with the tools available (wiring cost studies, module sourcing data, packaging studies, competitive benchmarking).
In this position, you will act as the primary interface with the vehicle program team, product development team, and validation team to track software development issues, fixes, and release timing for global vehicle launches. Candidate will also provide expertise for program sourcing, design reviews, specification reviews, failure mode analysis, and software release notes reviews.
This position is responsible for specifying requirements, execution and evaluation of designs, analysis, development, testing and control of major engineering projects where creativity and initiative are involved as well as a high level of independent judgment.
The Connector DRE is an integral position where a unique combination of mechanical and electrical skills combine to develop and release a product to distribute power and signal throughout the vehicle. You will interact with many different areas of a program that will encompass a rewarding experience to gain extensive working knowledge of vehicle architecture and electrical components in addition to electrical component validation.
In this role, the selected candidate will determine and ensure the use of specific design approaches and parameters and will conduct feasibility studies on new designs; analyze equipment to establish operating data, ensure experimental tests are conducted and evaluate the results.
This role will be responsible for performing EMC design activities in support of Connected Car programs, including but not limited to: EMC Risk Analysis, EMC Design Reviews, EMC Signal and Power Integrity Analysis, EMC simulation, Supplier Product EMC Analysis, EMC Non-Compliance Root Cause Analysis, EMC Pre-Compliance Method Development, Presentation of EMC training, Ensuring Product Development Adherence to the EMC Work Instruction and Supporting EMC Tools and Processes.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and refining electrical (hardware) components and sub-systems to meet quality and regulatory internal and external standards as well as our customers needs.
