In this role, the selected candidate will be doing safety analysis (FMEA and FTA) using computer aided tools will be needed to support the deriving and allocation of requirements onto the system elements.
As a Functional Safety Engineer at the company, you will perform and manage the functional safety activities for development projects. You could be the Lead Project Safety Engineer on smaller projects or may be part of a safety team under the control of a Lead Project Safety Engineer on larger projects.
In this role, the selected candidate will research the development of components and subsystems within the context of observed field performance by leveraging resources; this may include identifying and interviewing employees as well as probing internal systems for historical information related to the parts in question.
In this role, you will participate in safety strategy design discussions and help ensure that the safety requirements will be adequately met. Assist in resolving conflicts concerning safety requirements within the product engineering team and involve the assigned senior system safety engineer as needed.
