In this role, you will provide, as part of a team, Information Assurance - oriented guidance, advice and support to the NOAA National Weather Service ( NWS ) Information Assurance Branch and its customers/domain of control within the NWS.
Responsible for developing, implementing software and system tests. Duties may include defining and specifying the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of client and/or company products.
Ensuring that the quality system elements necessary to achieve and maintain compliance across multiple businesses, including regulated environments, are established and activities related to computer systems are controlled via these elements.
Responsibilities include designing, developing and executing test plans for various systems including software, hardware, radar systems and communication systems. Occasional domestic and international travel.
The QA Analyst assists in the development and identification of verification scenarios required to meet quality objectives, and in the development of business process documentation as needed for new technologies.
Support development, coordination and review of information assurance policies, strategic plans, standards, implementation plans and/or methodologies for technical or cyber counterintelligence concerns.
Analyze samples in support of: instrument qualification; method verification and validation; the raw material testing program; process validation; in-process testing requirements; R&D, stability testing; API testing and finished product testing.
In this role, you will develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.
