Understanding of the plant role in operating the system in a safe, reliable, and economic manner; working knowledge of relevant codes, environmental and OSHA regulations, and safety rules relating to the operation and maintenance of the facility.
Management responsibilities include supervision of design and drafting staff, coordination with clients and associates, and organization of design and construction administration activities to meet established schedules and budgets.
Provides technical leadership and individual contributions to mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering design and development efforts on multi-disciplinary project teams to create reliable, robust, high performance medical instrumentation. Participates in project planning and insures that schedule milestones are met. Applies technical insight and judgment for technology assessment and problem solving. Serves as a subject matter expert on medical consumables development and mid to high volume molded part design.
The individual will be offered the opportunity to develop project designs from the initial conceptual mechanical design through design and construction completion for large and small facilities type projects.
The individual will be part of a team involved in the design and construction of central steam plants and combined heat and power facilities for large campuses (college, institutional, pharmaceutical).
This candidate must be able to work individually as well as collaborate, share and engage in teamwork with a diverse group of other individuals.This person must be able to work tactically and be aware of the future strategy.
Develop designs and engineering specifications, prepares a design layout of the components to be developed with a CAD-based design package; ensures proper review of the design layout with appropriate personnel.
Assist in developing and implementing property procedures, controls, and checklists. Conduct daily procedures/assessments using round sheets to provide support and information to the property manager on a daily basis on building equipment and systems including mechanical, electrical, HVAC and elevator.
Responsible for the execution of the design and development of air supply components/assemblies, including welded structural frames, sheet metal components, control valves, piping, fittings, and electrical harnesses.
Evaluates customer technical specifications and drawings to determine process or product applicability and reproducibility; and determines the appropriate methods for fabricating and bonding materials.
In this role you will be responsible for testing, evaluating, and providing feedback to improve algorithm, electrical, and mechanical designs. You will also be tasked with validating algorithm outputs from biometric sensors.
