The individual will be part of a team involved in the design and construction of central steam plants and combined heat and power facilities for large campuses (college, institutional, pharmaceutical).
In this role, the selected candidate conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
In this role, the selected candidate will be preparing working plans, detailed drawings and completed mechanical or electrical drawings of assemblies from notes, verbal instructions, and rough or detailed sketches for engineering or manufacturing purposes.
In this role, the selected candidate will work independently and as a team leader to design/develop interface test adapters, cabling, automated software test programs, test consoles and all associated documentation in support of test for a variety of avionics subassemblies and systems.
In this role, you will perform complex systems development and design work that may include logic design; I/O design; firmware development; model formulation; manufacturing and development cost projections; computer architecture analysis and design; and analog or digital systems engineering.
In this role, the selected candidate will be performing electrical design and hands-on support for process equipment and development (e.g., drives, programmable logic controller [PLC] logic programming, human-machine interfaces [HMIs], wiring schematics, power systems, instrumentation, motor control systems, and data collection and integration).
In this role, you will be responsible to develop models for interference coupling mechanisms, shielding integrity, and circuit or cable interface isolation to mitigate and control conducted or radiated emissions and susceptibility stimuli.
The Hardware Engineer designs and tests new integrated circuits and hardware components for a wide variety of signal processing applications and research. Designs, documents, and develops code (to include firmware) for digital signal processors or other programmable hardware devices such as Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware.
