In this role, you will analyze and solve complex engineering challenges associated with the design, development, and modification of flight control system architectures and algorithms for system integration and testing in conventional and short takeoff vertical landing (STOVL) aircraft.
In this role, you will analyze new and modified aircraft configurations to predict aircraft stability and control characteristics, develop linear and nonlinear aerodynamic models and aircraft flight control systems, and support the development and modification of technical documentation, including system requirements specifications, ground and flight test plans and procedures, and other technical reports.
In this role, the selected candidate will be performing electrical design and hands-on support for process equipment and development (e.g., drives, programmable logic controller [PLC] logic programming, human-machine interfaces [HMIs], wiring schematics, power systems, instrumentation, motor control systems, and data collection and integration).
In this role, you will provide engineering inputs for briefing material in support of IPT -level meetings, discussions, and reviews and translate complex engineering data into higher level discussion points for presentation to non -technical program support staff.
In this role, you will be responsible for control and tracking of aircraft configuration, coordinating and staging of support equipment, and coordinating with other organizations associated with test readiness.
This individual will be responsible for designing, programming, and installing PLC-based systems, providing technical field support, creating/reading electrical schematics, and creating/debugging ladder logic.
In this role, you will know established QA techniques, regulations and requirements related to the functions and mission of the customer and skilled in applying this knowledge to plan and perform QA assignments of moderate scope and complexity.
In this role, you will design infrastructure assets, including signals, train stops, track circuits, train detection systems, point operation and detection systems, traction (electrical current) return arrangements, vital interlocking systems, SCADA/telemetry systems, and active level crossings.
