In this role, you will conduct systems analysis and programming activities related to the development, maintenance, and installation of computer programs to a grants management system for the Department of Energy.
The Software Engineer will program and test computer software programs and applications; the Software Engineer works collaboratively with Software Engineers, Solutions Analysts, and Quality Assurance to assess, enhance, maintain and support software solutions.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of critical business applications using the Microsoft .NET Framework and SQL Server technologies.
In this role, you will research, design, develop and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. He / She will evaluate interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of the overall system.
In this role, the selected candidate will participate in the design of software tools and subsystems to support reuse and domain analysis; assist Applications Engineer and Applications Programmer to interpret software requirements and design specifications to code, and integrate and test software components.
In this role, the selected candidate must have understanding of the software development lifecycle, strong analysis skills, experience in designing, developing, implementing testing .NET based applications.
In this role, the selected candidate will work on closely managed Problem-solving tasks and follow standardized practices and procedures; interface with supervisors, managers, and other professionals in work groups.
In this role, the selected candidate will design, develop, test, enhance, document, and deploy application software solutions, interfaces, and customizations as specified by requirements taken from business.
