In this role, the selected candidate will analyze financial statements, business banking statements and related cash flows, information provided by borrowers advance applications, credit bureau information, and other third party data and analytics provided by the Firm.
The MCU is primarily responsible for the independent underwriting and structuring of transactions. Prepares and presents credit packages for prospective opportunities, including quantitative and qualitative analysis of a clients credit quality, economic/sector analysis, repayment ability and key credit risk assessment.
In this role, you will develop new relationships and maintain existing relationships with wholesale brokers; work with operations, claims, finance and marketing to build or enhance products and contribute to the financial performance of the business unit.
The Municipal Credit Underwriter (MCU) is an integral member of the client coverage team and assists with the administration of the credit portfolio and the delivery of the end-to-end credit experience to our clients.
Analyzes and evaluates residential loan applications originated by U.S. Bank branch offices in accordance with industry and business unit standards. Gathers, analyzes and interprets all types of credit information for existing and prospective retail banking customers in order to maximize credit and minimize risk and potential loss.
The role of the Commercial Underwriter is to provide support to regional commercial lending teams and regional Credit Administration by providing expertise in underwriting, structuring, servicing and documenting credit requests.
