In this role, you will conduct root cause analysis and propose corrective actions for continuous improvement and for resolutions to manufacturing problems including processes, machines, or programming issues.
The Mechanical Design & Project Engineer works very closely with company customers and the Sales department to design or upgrade existing food manufacturing equipment in order to meet and exceed customer specs including throughout and efficiency requirements.
Compiles and analyzes data (temperature, pressures, speed, horsepower, fuel consumption, etc.)and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for efficient R&D, 3D CAD, SolidWorks and Pro/E based design, detail drawings, prototype build, test plans and reports, BOMs, assembly instructions, customer and vendor interaction, user manuals, spare parts lists, and engineering change orders.
A Designer, under close and frequent supervision, assists Engineers and Project Managers by performing the routine aspects of engineering design and design/drafting assignments, through familiarity with the programs, staff, and operating procedures of the company.
In this role, you will have the knowledge with wind tunnel operations and the methodology and the use of hardware such as force and moment balances. The selected candidate will have manufacturing liaison and support, and testing support.
Our Avionics group is responsible for the design, development, testing, analysis and integration of all the electronic hardware for SpaceX vehicles; this includes hardware such as power electronics, flight computers, antennas, and navigational sensors.
In this role, you will work in a small team environment as part of one of our Mechanical Engineering design teams. The selected candidate will also work with operations technicians on the shop floor is required.
